On tap at Thompson Island Brewery, Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Pours a hazy orange. A well thumbnail length head retains well. Once it dissipates, there is a ring of lacing throughout.
The aroma opens by showcasing notes of grassy and piney hops, with hints of grapefruit, lemon and lime. The malt aroma is bready and biscuity.
The taste opens with clean and crisp cracker malt flavors, bready and biscuity malts. Medium to slightly thin in body, the crisp mouthfeel is supported by moderate carbonation, while the palate is dry overall. Bright citrusy hops flavors of grapefruit rind, orange pith and lime are contrasted by piney and grassy hops, moderately spicy and with a clean bitterness. The finish is crisp and dry; very refreshing overall.
This was a well balanced Pale Ale featuring nice hops flavors with a solid malt backbone. It was easy to drink.
