Once again we delve into the fruity lands of the Kveik yeasts, this time to make a beer that's asking to be opened on a lazy Saturday, preferable before midday. Even before you doze off on the couch, you'll be floating in tropical hops and pineapple esters, on a fluffy pillow of wheat and oats. Sweet dreams!

Picked up some cans from the brewery over the weekend.
A - Medium to dark hazy golden orange.
S - Lime, citrus, and tropical fruit on the nose.
T - Apricot, tangerine, mango, and light pineapple with some lingering tangerine
M - Big, thick, and chewy on the mouthfeel. Texture is pillowy soft and there's little to no warming on the way down.
O - Nicely done and solid at that.

Draft into tulip glass. Pours a hazy amber with a thin off-white head. Initial impression is heavy citrus (mango, orange, pineapple, tangerine)- very juicy. Mouthfeel is soft and pillow-y and felt a little thin at first, but upon reflection it's just about right. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. Finish is slightly sweet with very little residual bitterness. First time I'd heard of Thompson Island, and I'm favorably impressed.
