Pours a hazy orange color. A moderate foam head shows good retention and lots of lacing.
The nose is fruity and dank with a hint of bready malts. Aromas of melon, mango, papaya and lime interact with herbal notes of grass and pine.
Juicy and tropical with notes of mango, pineapple, papaya and passion fruit. A bready and creamy malt sweetness is balanced by resiny, piney and grassy hops and a touch of peppery alcohol spice. The finish is dry with a lingering bitterness that feels on par.
Slightly short of full bodied, yet it feels really light on its toes. The mouthfeel is smooth, slightly creamy, and the carbonation is moderate.
This was a pleasant surprise in terms of its lightness and how easy it was to drink. A nice New England style DIPA; I would have again.
