An episode in which the entire contents of a pint can are emptied into a clear glass liter mug. The pour shows a liquid reddish-brown, not quite as dark as mahogany. Almost immediately, there's no head, although it's well carbonated. It is dull and it is opaque. It has a weird, yet tolerable aroma of blueberry, grains and sourness. To taste, the maple also makes its presence known. Amazingly. With the blueberry, maple and close to buckwheat flavors involved, this is undeniably a fruited sour. There's almost no sweetness and the finish is cleanly dry. It's light bodied, a good standard for the style. All of the listed flavors are readily tasted, in good balance. Yet, they're so subtle it won't matter if you don't like maple, nor blueberry. Far from a sticky sweet desert beer, this is a pleasant fruited sour that's true to its style.
P.S. No reviews are read before I make mine. Now I see that the original ABV of this beer was 4.6%. This version, canned 3/19/24 has an ABV of 5.9 percent. So, the recipe has changed, somewhat. That should explain the differences between my review and the earlier review of another highly respected Beer Advocate member.

A - Opaque deep blueberry pour with a two fingered frothy layer of light blue rising up and then sticking to the glass like ice cream.
S - Blueberry and pancakes on the nose (the maple isn't there, not so much).
T - Definite blueberry, maple, and pancakes on the palate. Nothing more, nothing less - just straight up liquid blueberry pancakes with maple syrup on top (with some lactose lingering underneath).
M - Big frothy body that's slightly thin around the edges.
O - Just as advertised on the can and delivers.
