Blended Red

On tap at FLX Weinery in Dundee, NY.

This one pours a slightly dark reddish/brown color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This one smells like vinegar, red wine, slight maltiness, and a touch of funk.

I don't completely love the vinegar character here, but at least it's not too, too strong. There's a very solid maltiness here, with tons of red wine and damp barrel character, and some definite fruitiness. I'd want more oak and less vinegar, but it's a good start.

This is light bodied, slightly creamy, with a definite acidity on the back end. The carbonation level works well.

I want to see more beers come out of this mostly quiet brewery/blendery - it's a cool idea.
