Had on tap. I actually really liked this one. While a little unbalanced and light on the body, the taste is chock-full of dark fruits like plum and fig, belgian yeast, and maybe a little molasses.

Tap at the source.
A: Very dark, purplish black, small tan head.
S: Big vinous sugar jumps out. Malty, malty, malty. Plum, light roasted malt.
T: Taste brings grapes, molasses, mild licorice, grain. English barleywine-ish with some vinous notes from the Belgian yeast.
M: Thick-bodied with low carbonation.
O: Pretty tasty although it's a bit muddled.

Poured at a good temperature with a huge, foamy, cream-colored, long lasting head and lots of lace. Aroma like some other 1 bbl brews is very mild, vinous, malt, spice. Flavor's like nose, tang is in front, then sweet with bitter fairly strong but in the back. Body/carbonation are good, alcohol warmth is heavy although strangely, as it wears on the warmth dissipates. Finish is like flavor, fairly long, no off notes and good sipping.
