I just purchased a variety pack on 6/11/19, so if it is retired, it is still in stores. Pours a hazy bronze, I'm more into the taste of a beer and I liked it. I've been drinking beer for a long time, I rate things on if I would drink it again and I would in a heartbeat. Some beers like this have a bit of a bitter taste which I'm not entirely fond of, but this is pretty smooth and goes down easy.

12 oz. impulse buy in the clear glass, with no bottling date. Strike one. And I see it’s retired. Strike two. Put dates on your bottles, people. First first impression of this brewery is not a good one, before I even taste a beer.

The pour is a bit darker orange that I associate, incorrectly, with a rye addition. Nose is your basic tap water with some toast about to pop on the counter within arm’s reach. Faint.

5th Element takes one sip to shout in my ear why it’s retired. My ear plugs fail & this pours into my reluctant throat like a liquid wave of regret. Prominent is rye bread that’s been dragged behind the six horse plow for a spell, backed with a searing, stabbing bitterness. Toast. Random spices. Prickly. Undrinkable.

This is terrible. Since the brewery hasn’t deigned to tell me how old or young this bottle is, I hold them accountable for the execrable contents. I deeply regret the five sips I had to take to finish this review. An awful, awful, awful drain pour.

I tried this at my neighbors house last night; he brought a sample pack back from Wisconsin. It poured a clear copper with thin white head that did not leave much lace. The scent and taste were sweet. Did finish slightly dry. The Mouthfeel was lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it's was ok.

Poured 12oz bottle into snifter. Hazy burnt orange body with 1 finger white head. Fades quickly and leaves webbed lacing on my glass. A soft rye scent with a sweet citrusy aroma. Orange, grapefruit, and pine hops with a caramel malt. The rye flavor is rather soft and pleasant, but still has a spice to it. Hops are citrusy, orange, grapefruit, along with pine. Malts are sweet caramel. Finish is bitter. Soft carbonation and medium feel. Dry and spicy on the finish. This was well made and very similar to Great Lakes Rye of the Tiger.

It appears from ZAP's description that he had a bottle that wasn't stored properly, which is too bad. This really is a fine beer.
