Canned on 10/16/23; consumed on 11/4/23
Pours an opaque, dreary, egg yolk-gold body capped with two fingers of fluffy, eggshell-white foam; solid head retention yields a half-finger of cap, sizable collar, and webby/spotty lacing draping down the walls of the glass.
Aromas of dank, boggy earth extend to moss and a slightly musty melon peel accent before expanding to sweeter tones of peach and grapefruit peel on the back end of the bouquet.
Taste offers pink grapefruit upfront, with a dank, mossy edge over the mid-palate phasing out in favor of orange peel and tangerine on the back end as mushy mango finish.
Mouthfeel shows a body on the fuller end of medium and a subtle, moderate carbonation; juicy, resinous texturing forms a silky mid-palate as pseudo-bittering underscores a pillowy swallow.
Dank yet vaguely sweet, doughy malts feed into a boggy, fruity mush without overindulging the already-ample hop resins soaking the profile.
