This is from one of the breweries on the Aufsess Brewery trail in Germany.
Note that Mein Host called this a Landbier, but Untappd, and hence here, lists it as a Munich Dunkel. I could easily have called it Gasthoff Stadter Landbier.

This one was drunk at our first stop on the Aufsess Brewery Trail in Bavaria in September 2023. This was the furthest we had to walk between beers, so was a welcome respite after 5kms of hiking; there wasn't much time to contemplate the bere, so the notes are perfunctory.
L: Dark, copper-brown, with a very thin, white head. No carbonation is seen in the glass.
S: Mild caramel malt, minerals, fresh herbs.
T: Rich, malty toffee, but with a thin finish.
M: Moderately prickly on the tongue and swallow, but a little thin in the body and after the swallow.
O: A reasonable Märzen made better by being one of the Aufsess brewery trail's furthest points between drinks...
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
