Located on 16th and J street come enjoy our unique rooftop dining and Craft beer! Quality, Tradition, Camaraderie; it’s a recipe as old as beer itself and the three main ingredients to our philosophy. It is exactly what drives us to bring the best beer experience to each and every person who walks through our doors, every day. It's very similar to the way malts, yeast, and hops bring the best out of life! Quality- Think of it as the Malts. It's the Backbone that supports everything and holds it all together, and without holding ourselves to the highest quality, we would crumble. All of our beer is Served Fresh (unless improved by age), stored properly under a tedious eye of temperature control, and served to lines that are not only meticulously cleaned, but properly maintained on a day to day basis. Tradition- Much likes the yeast in beer we work incredibly hard to evolve with the changing environments and climate of the beer world, but we hold true to our original philosophy of “Great Beer” and “Great People.” We will never give up on our goal to fill our establishments with the best beer from around the world, as well as local, and the best people to represent that beer to the customer. Comradery- The Hops! The personality and diversity that has brought all beer drinkers together to discuss the new wave of west coast style IPA’s, Pale Ales, New England pale ales. Remember, a beer is always better when enjoyed with friends and like-minded people.

There seems to be some crossover between Sacrament Brewing and the Midtown Gastropub. Calling Sacrament got me the Gastropub, Sacrament's menus actually say Midtown Gastropub. Not exactly sure what the division is, if any.
Visited twice last weekend, both for lunch, with a large group split into something like four or five checks, with a bunch of children. I was very impressed with the service -- despite the chaos, rush, and complexity, service was good and bills were all perfect.
The vibe, aside from the horde of children that we brought, was pretty typical midday bar -- a couple here, a small group of co-workers there. Didn't seem super beer-centric, despite being a brewery.
The food was surprisingly good, for the most part. Fried chicken sandwich was great, burgers looked good (and companions reported it was great). Wings were pretty good, but not great.
Beer selection was pretty good -- a bunch of Sacrament brews, IPA most common but stouts, sours, and lagers present on the menu. A few guest beers (I had a dark lager from North Coast that was pretty good). The beers that I had were pretty good, too. Beer service was maybe a little iffy -- lots of pouring from the tap and dumping and re-pouring and topping off...the beer that finally got to me was a reasonably good pour, although the process to get there was unexpectedly messy.
Not a stellar location, but certainly a worthy stop, especially if you're looking for a meal.
