not a real impressive specimen here, although i like this place a lot, loved a few of the beers, had great service, and would totally recommend a visit. this one just underwhelms, among their least polished offerings when we visited. a very plane jane yellow lager, but its not clean on the fermentation side, the yeast seems stressed or tired or not given enough time, maybe too warm, and there is a husky hully grain thing that makes it a little heavy for what it is and also makes it sit on the tongue a little weird at the end, just poorly refined overall, but not way way off, and i suspect this will improve in future batches if their other beers are any indication. fairly clear, yellow straw colored, and holding a very short white head from the tap at the source. the grain seems like a pils type primarily, but is unremarkable here. im not sure the water chemistry is right on either for this, there is a faint penny element to it, not super metallic but past just minerals to me, this is more pronounced as it sits. some protein to it too it seems, some weight for a beer intended to be light, and it lacks the refreshment factor i was looking for when i ordered it without more robust carbonation, this sags a bit. still, not terrible, just not yet fully honed in. it will be great when they get it dialed, place like this needs to have a properly done lager on tap. other beers were better, but we all had fun at this place and a mediocre lager didnt ruin the experience in the least...

Canned on June 9th. Pour is a clean and clear light amber, thin-ish head, light bready nose. Taste is right down the alley for the style. Malty with just a smidgen of bitterness. It's good for a hot afternoon on a shady porch. Quite crushable. Carbonation is less than we'd like to see.
