Pour at CdA Brewfest.Golden pour, small white head. Aroma is hoppy, natural, earthy. Taste stays on focus with the nice malty base, adding light floral hops on top. Subtle, but good.

definitely one of the less impressive beers i had in here, an essentially generic tasting pale ale that has a weird fermentation profile like it was done too warm, that sort of melting plastic thing i sometimes get from yeast gone awry. the hops are fine, but are as bitter as they are flavorful, and really nothing out of the ordinary at all, maybe some centennial with a little milled limber element to it, some fresh pine in the center of the taste, but its a little samey and its not as clean as it should be at the end, almost dish soapy for a minute on the tongue after each sip, not quite harsh, but perhaps a little flawed. its got nice carbonation, a simple grain base, and if it could be cleaned up a bit, maybe dry hopped a little more uniquely, would be a pretty solid pale ale. as it stands, i liked their paradigm shifter pale quite a bit better than this one, more malt character, bigger hop profile, and just a lot more going on, not to mention much more professionally done on the fermentation.
