Don't remember where or when I had this beer but is on my list. Just another average amber ale.

this was easily my favorite beer i had when i visited the brewery last week. a rich and flavorful amber with great balance and high drinkability. perfect as a morning beer or on a hangover. the bartender told me it actually had maple syrup in it, but im not so sure. it does have a little sweetness through it, some toffee and honey notes that with the toasted grain get autumnal and kind of maple-esque, but if it is in here for real, its subtle and largely fermented out. the beer has a nice deep brick red color, a medium body, and a surprising amount of hoppy bitterness behind all the malt, its fresh tasting, well proportioned, and even fairly complex as this sort of thing does, not at all that one dimensional sweet red beer we see all over the place. almond and toasted notes, brown sugar and maybe maple, red apple even, very much a fall complexion to this, and with the right amount of sweetness. its smooth and mellow to drink, not filling, and clean on the fermentation. both technically and for my personal tastes, this is their best beer right now!
