Taster pour at brewery. Pale, cloudy golden, small head, lacing. Light grainy, grassy aroma. Taste is bready, like ghr sweetness, grassy, yeasty. Abrupt finish.

tasty farmy wheat beer, light to drink, a little rustic, not overly estery, fun yeast profile, nicely carbonated, off dry, bright carbonation, refreshing and flavorful at the same time, an impressive beer from these guys, the first ive had from them in some time, they do not come over to the boise side of the state that i am aware of. i tend to like these a little more obviously multigrain, or rye forward, this one seems wheat driven fully to me, and i like them more funky, even bretty, which this is not, but the yeast still has some intrigue, its more than generic french or belgian stuff, which makes this unique enough to be good. i like the earthy rawness to the grain, the light bitter herbal hop note on the end, and the way this moves from spicy to grassy to almost hefe-esque, lots happening in a real drinkable glass of beer. light lemon and white wine to this, dried herbs, white pepper, light acidity but not sour or anything, peppy carbonation, soft wheaty body, smooth and easy to drink, but distinctive too. i think a fine take on the style, especially as the cleaner versions go. these guys are doing some cool stuff, still flying under the radar but making excellent beer. this has wit characteristics, saison elements, and really somehow is all very cohesive. nice work.
