A robust version of an english porter with a complex malt body. The rich malty sweetness is accented with notes of chocolate, toffee, coffee and caramel. Debittered dark malts are used to give a smooth and restrained roast character that is never harsh.

From a 16 oz. can to a pint glass. Dark reddish brown, murky with tan head dissipating to a thin ring. Smells of dark chocolate and cherry cola. Tastes of dark fruit, coffee, dark chocolate and cola with a dry finish. Any hop flavor hard to detect. Medium-high body with some alcoholic warmth. Medium-high carbonation. A very complex malty profile in a slightly toasty dark beer.

From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This excellent
porter pours a murky blackish brown with thin cola highlights
and a FANTASTIC head of off white foam that fades to a thick
ring, thick layer, and displays some exceptional lacing. Nose
of dark roasted malts, moderate coffee, char, faint smoke,
light cream, and dark bakers chocolate. Flavors follow on
point with char, brulee, light cream, dark bakers chocolate,
lightly earthy dark roasted malts, and touches of dark fruits.
Nice mouth feel; medium full body, smooth, rich, medium
light carbonation, and a lightly dry and lightly coating
finish.
Overall----WOW.....a new favorite!
Cheers
