Poured from a 16 ounce undated can into a tulip glass at 50 degrees.
Look- Deep brown, opaque, medium brown frothy head, plentiful large particulate visible at the margins, below average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Cinnamon, cocoa, roasted malt, slight honey, medium strength of scent.
Taste- Roasted malt, cinnamon, cocoa, slight honey, medium strength of flavor.
Feel- Medium body, average carbonation, silky, mildly creamy, moderately bitter, moderately sweet, mildly mouth warming, mildly mouth coating.
Overall- Deep brown and opaque with below average head retention and lacing. Also, had plentiful large visible particulate at the edges. Bouquet was cinnamon and cocoa with roasted malt and a slight note of honey. The flavor was much more malt forward which masked some of the other flavors. They were still in the background, I just had to work harder to notice them. The feel was medium bodied and silky with moderate bitterness and sweetness. Overall this beer provided an enjoyable drinking experience, but the malt covered some of the complexity.

By and by– from Yaya Brewing. Received from @snaotheus in a ninja strike during BSBIF#1. Reviewed 27/01/24 (Review 3232). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Undated 16 fl oz can. Stored at 34 degrees at home. Served at 50.9 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature was 54.6 degrees F.
Appearance – 4
First pour – Deep Amber (SRM 15), slight haze.
Body – Deep Brown (SRM 30), opaque. Under direct light, same. When rear-lite, light penetration at the bottom edge, goldenrod.
Head - Large (Maximum 4.5 cm, aggressive center pour), almond, high density with a few rocks, average retention, leaving a 1.1 – 1.4 cm crown, and a complete rocky cap.
Lacing – Excellent! Wide band of tiny to small bubbles dominated by two buttes.
Aroma – 4 – Weak cinnamon and cocoa. No yeast, no hops, no malt, no alcohol (7.3 % ABV as marked on the label).
Flavor – 4 – Begins slightly bitter with cocoa and a trace of cinnamon. No yeast, no hops, no malt. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. No ethanol. Mild oral warming but no gastric.
Palate – 4 – Medium; dry; soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.75 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) It’s got my favorite spice (cinnamon) which gets it some consideration; otherwise, a very average lactose -loaded stout. Distinctly not in my wheelhouse but thanks to Ryan for giving me the opportunity to try this guy.
