draught
Thin, creamy white head. Very milky, yellow/gold color. Subdued, mixed citrus peel aroma, mainly a fermented grapefruit peel one, and some light toast malt in there somewhere. Rather light but pretty good, off-dry, grapefruit peel, a touch of pineapple, over an off-dry, light toast malt foundation. Brisk but creamy mouthfeel.

neat hazy here, clever hop profile, more herbal and botanical than fruity, which is decidedly not trendy right now in these, cool to have something a little different in a samey style. this one has a whitewashed look to it, a starchy milky density but its not sloppy just fuller, short white head from the tap, a little orange tone in the lower light. i do get some light lime zest to the nose, but after that its fresh flowers, jasmine, a bay leaf thing, cut grass, and yerba mate, really pretty interesting. similarly, there is a light pineapple candy thing up front in the flavor, but then it moves into honeysuckle, lemongrass, white tea, and heady buds, really nuanced and interesting, and it gets increasingly pungent as it warms up. i like the less juicy more herb garden character of the hops, makes this stand out from the crowd. i do think the beer could be a little lighter, lots of body to this but without a big flavor contribution from the grain, and even though its dry and relatively clean on the yeast side, it still has more heft than i think flatters the hops, decent carbonation helps, but factor in the higher alcohol, and this is a pretty meaty pint overall. nice to see some draft from these guys showing up around boise, i have always been impressed with their stuff and i like this one for being so unique in its hop complexion, and actually packing some bitterness for a hazy one...

Draft at the Handlebar. Hazy golden pour, patchy head. Fruity, tropical aroma, melon. Bitterness, while not overwhelming, is the leading factor in the taste. Fruity, mild sweetness, full mouthfeel. Bitterness lingers for a while.
