16oz can purchased at Huckleberry's, in Spokane, WA. No freshness date on the can. Description from UnTapped is as follows:
"Low-bitterness pale ale with Cascade, Warrior, and Simcoe hops and specialty grain Purple Egyptian."
Poured into the glass, it was initially a clear golden amber color, but chill -hazed quickly. Creamy, off-white head, lots of sticky lace.
Subdued, lightly citrusy and melon-y hop aroma. I'm not picking up any of the aroma that could be expected from the vaunted Purple Egyptian malt.
Hop flavor is very low on bitterness. Slightly citrusy, lemony flavor.
Medium bodied, slightly resiny mouth feel.
Very low demand on the taste buds. Great for drinkability but not very distinctive.
