Steffi Pilsner malt and Perle hops make this lager-like ale the beaut that it is. Malty and sweet.

16oz pour for $6.50 at the source in Spokane Valley, WA.
Dark brown, with a decent sized beige colored head.
Malty, roasty, bready and mildly caramel sweet nose.
Much like the nose, this is a mildly sweet tasting beer where all the flavor seems to be coming from the malts. It's toasty, roasty, a little bit sweet in a caramel - bready sort of way, and finishes clean.
Medium bodied, with a mouth feel just about perfect for the style.
Great altbier. Takes me back to summer in the Ruhr about 25yrs ago. I would happily have this again.
