16oz can purchased at the source during their combined 5th anniversary/Oktoberfest shindig last month. I bought two cans with the idea of sharing them with a couple friends, but we haven't crossed paths since then, and now they're getting a bit on.
Poured into the glass, this was a hazy, almost opaque, but not quite, shade of yellow-amber, with a creamy looking bone-white head. I'm not positive, but I believe the fresh hops in question are Amarillo.
Citrusy and sweet hop aroma. Quite orangey. Kinda muted though. Would most likely be a bit stronger had I drank it when I purchased it.
Taste is more assertive than the nose. Orange citrus flavor up front, with a pretty decent backbone of well-balanced bitterness. Dry finish.
Surprisingly creamy mouth feel. Makes me wonder if it's brewed with oats.
While not as fresh as it could have been, this is still quite drinkable. Glad to have had it.
