16oz tallboy can purchased at Huckleberry's, in Spokane, WA. No freshness date.
Poured a clear, bright golden color, with a sudsy, bone-white head. Lots of lace.
Herbal, grassy hop notes in the nose. There's a crackery malt aroma present as well, more in the background.
Taste is a little different than I expected. It seems lightly fruity, upfront, resembling pears or green grapes. There's an herbal, grassy bitterness that's not at all out of place for the style, but it's on the back end. Clean finishing, but not as crisp as I'd like for the style. Perhaps this has been sitting for a while, always a possibility at Huckleberry's.
Fairly light body, clean but un-crisp mouth feel.
If this can had been dated, it'd probably show that this was packaged at a date that would reveal that it is past it's prime. Unfortunate.
