On draught at Oscar’s Ale House.
A lite golden pour with high clarity, thick head with high retention, and nice curtain lacing.
A pleasant floral aroma. The lightly toasted malt is a little grainy. Pleasant mild hop flavor.
Good carbonation, pleasant finish.
A very nice Kolsch!

Straw colored body props up a large white head that left uneven lacing. Subtle aroma of noble hops. The simplicity of the soft, clean, dry taste adds to its appeal. Just a hint of bitterness in the finish. I'm not a Kolsch expert but this one just seems to hit the right notes.

 

Very light in color, body, nose and flavor, even for a Kolsch. I like the Kolsch style but would have liked a little more flavor and mouthfeel. Nothing offsetting about it, just light.

 

Very light brew with not a lot of flavor. A little hoppiness but not much else. This would be good with crabs!

Nice head with fine bubbles, hazy yellow-orange color, slightly tart, slightly hoppy taste in back of mouth. Medium to light body. Will pair well with most foods without overpowering it. 16 oz can, medium price range.
