This beer sits in a weird place; is it a "standard" IPA or a murky one? It contains features of both, but doesn't really have a personality of it's own.
Served in knock-off perfect pint. Poured a very cloudy and hazy, but still sort of clear, dark orange color with just a thin cap of white head that had no retention or lacing.
The aroma had a very light grain scent as a base. It was topped with a bunch of joosey, frooty hops.
It started out the same on the tongue, but some hop bite did develop across the palate saving flavor and drinkability points.
The body was the typical light of the style, but did have a touch of coarseness to help keep things interesting.
Drinkability was fine, no issues finishing the pint, but i wasn't left wanting another.
Overall, this beer is an odd hybrid: not clear or bitter enough to be a 'Traditional' IPA, and not dense and fruity enough to be 'Modern IPA.
