Piper is a farmhouse ale with cherries, Chardonnay grapes and rose petals. Elegant notes of baked cherry pie and rose geranium abound, mimicking a winter Chardonnay.
Piper began as a mature saison brewed in 2022 and refermented on crushed and destemmed Washington grown Chardonnay grapes for 2 months from the 2023 harvest. After fermenting to dryness we blended it with a Montmorremcy cherry saison and steeped with pink and red rose petals.
Pairs well with candied yams, roasted duck and wild chanterelles.
