I wonder if this is actually what AAL's tasted like in their hey day or if this is better.

Very nice American lager....bready maltiness reminiscent of a helles lager...leans sweet for the style but some herbal hops are noticeable on the finish.

Light side of medium bodied or high side of light bodied....however you want to slice it....

Clean tasting....clear looking but I've seen cleaner looking lagers.......easy drinking but with a nice flavor that keeps it interesting....

Definitely recommend if you like this style and want a little more..

16oz pounder can, $10 for four

Yellow, clear, with lacing and a ring of white head. Smells kinda like chlorine (?!) - the taste is much better. A buttery lager, like a Budweiser but much cleaner and enjoyable to drink. A touch of bitter grassy hops that's barely noticeable, in a good way... I could drink 100 of these

Appearance: Pours a clear, light golden color with a mild white head. SRM of 6. (3.75)

Aroma: Moderate aromas of pale malts, grains, a grassy, slightly lemonflower aromas. Grassy yeast and also some pale malt aromas.

Flavor: Moderate flavors of lemongrass, buttery bread, grains, and pale malts. Slightly grassy, balanced by yeast. Slightly bitter on the finish. Leans slightly dry.

Feel: Medium-bodied. Strong carbonation. yeast with a bitter and butter feel on the finish.

Compared to WarPigs Salmon Pants 8/17/22: Pours a lighter color. Milder aromas. More lemongrass. Less citrus and tropical aromas. More bread and yeast, larger bodied.

Compared to Lupulin American Pils 8/17/22: Pours a similar color, similar aromas. Slightly grassier with lemongrass, yeast, and bread. Less smooth pale malts. More dry, yeasty, bitter, but somewhat similar.

Overall: A very nice and flavorful American lager here. Definitely has a European feel to it. German grassy yeast and bitterness, with a Czech buttery bread flavor. Sort of mixes American with German and Bohemian. Nevertheless, drinks extremely nice. (4.14+)
