Draft pour at the brewery's taproom.
Appearance. Slightly hazy golden body with a decent white head.
Distinctive, hop forward aroma that I find hard to describe but that is more floral and less grassy than expected. The flavor also reflects an off-center hop selection, but it works well and is not really of style other than being more hop heavy than usual (i.e., German).

Clear, dirty gold color. Small but lasting head. Minimal lace in the form of thin lace.
Pale malt aroma with no graininess.
Pretty close to a Helles with a slightly higher level moderately toasted bread. Creamy round body with a lighter carbonation. Shorter malt-base finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours very clear golden yellow color color with a small fairly dense white head. Good head retention and spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas of clean bready malts and light fruit. Taste of cracker, bread dough, wood, herbal, grass, peppercorn, pine, and light yeast earthiness. Light-med pine herbal bitterness on the finish. Medium carb and body. Balanced bready malt and sticky hop mouthfeel. Fairly crisp clean finishing. Lingering sticky hop drying. No astringency. Clean lager flavors of pils/Munich malt and balanced noble hops. No complaints. Great Festbier.
