Draft pour at the brewery's taproom in Greensboro, NC.
Appearance. Copper colored body with a near creamy, off-white head that has good retention.
This has a pleasing, pumpkin spice aroma, but that is too often found in pympkin beers that have an overly spiced flavor profile. This one hits the tongue with a well chosen mix of spicing that is initially not too strong but that seems over spiced in the aftertaste.

On tap at the brewery into can shaped glass. Pours slightly hazy deep ruby red/brown color with a small off white head with good retention and spotty lacing. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon, clove, pumpkin, allspice, mace, toast, light roast. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon, clove, pumpkin, allspice, mace, toast, nutmeg, light roast, herbal, grass, peppercorn, pine, yeast earthiness. Med pine/herbal bitter and spicy finish. Medium carb and body. Balanced creamy bready malts and sticky spices on the finish. Lingering spicy dryness with no astringency. Very pronounced spice profile over a robust American brown ale. Love it.
