Imperial stout aged for 1 year in Willett Bourbon barrels. Lighter body, pleasant bourbon aroma, robust bourbon flavor, soft tones of chocolate.

L: Almost black, small tan head fades quickly to a ring, spotty lacing at best.
S: Bourbon is upfront, a hint of roasted malts and some licorice.
T: Coffee, some bitter chocolate. Alcohol burn.
F: It seems a bit thin for the style.
O: Not bad, but so many better brewed locally.

Charcoal black body with a sudsy tan ring. Barrel is really pleasant in the nose, oak is dark and toasty, bourbon elevates notes of chocolate, vanillins, and a trace amount of earth. Taste is much the same, again the barrel is wonderful on its own and integrates so well with the chocolate in particular. Feel is a touch light, but barrel driven and dry, plenty warm and drinkable. More old school. Nice ba stout, goes great with cochinata pibil
