Pretty straight forward oatmeal stout, but not much in the way of vanilla. Probably the best beer in the mixed 4-pack, but that isn't saying much.

Pours a dark, deep black color. Completely opaque. Thick, active brown head forms on the beer, lingers then dissipates. However it never fully dissipates with a thin layer of foam lingering on the top of the beer. Aroma has notes of roasted malts, barley, oats and some earthy hops on the back end. There are some wisps of vanilla, but its very subtle and remains so even as the beer warms.
Taste follows the nose with notes of roasted malts, barely, oats, hints of vanilla, cocoa, and wisps of coffee giving way to piney, earthy hops on the back end. The vanilla is really faint - I honestly do not even know if I would catch it if I was not looking for it. Feel is medium bodied. Its a bit rough around the edges. Prickly carbonation.
This one is ok, but again, not one I would pick up again. Its just a bit rough bordering on harsh.

Brownish black pour with a beautifully plump beige head. Smell and taste are clones: it's a pleasantly vanilla kissed oatmeal stout, with roast a tick higher but not bad. As it warms vanilla emerges a bit more but never overpowers. Body is frothy, malty, more roasted and less creamy than I usually prefer but nice. Medium bodied, easy drinking.

A lovely oatmeal stout. I was afraid of the listing of vanilla, but it was a bare hint and didn't take over. Nice mouthfeel from the oatmeal, but could maybe be creamier. A little coffee up front, really well balanced, I'm a fan.
