Another specialty grain bier from Enzensteiner. Had a 0.5l bottle on 26SEP10, setting me back 2.40.
Poured a deep golden, with a touch of haze. A thick, off-white, creamy, foamy head crowned things. It lasted very well, with nice lacework. Nose was mild and flowery, with hints of crackery malts. Smooth on the tongue, it was a middle of the road medium for body.
Very crackery flavor hits the palate, too. Hops are wild and herbal, with more malt, an odd chalky aspect, and some yeasty spiciness rounding things out. Yet another different offering from Enzensteiner. Zum Wohl!!
