Just a slight haze in the pale yellow brew with abundant foam in the deep-dish Orval chalice. Lush and sudsy in the mouth. Aromatic with a hint of yeast and malt. Just a hint of the usual overbearing esters in the Saison style. Light flavors of cereal with a hint of herbs.
This is about the best Farmhouse Ale I've tasted in a long time. This would be the better quaff than so many over-hopped PIlsners. It's quite restrained in the yeast department, crisp, and clean. HIghly drinkable and one I"ll look for again. From the 16 oz can purchased at New Seasons. Dated 05/26/21, so the months have mellowed it well.
