a decent take on the style here, very basic, maybe the least exciting of the three beers i had in here, but well enough made. i think the yeast is a little samey, a belgian strain allowed to run on the edge of too hot, this is high tone estery and approaching phenolic as it warms, which is exacerbated to me by the residual sweetness it also has, almost seems like it brings in elements of a tripel or something there, despite being as low alcohol as it is. the wheat is nutty and sweet at the same time, provides some fuller body for this, and definitely carries the flavor of the yeast through the finish. lots of minerals here, a hint of meyer lemon, clover honey, spicy clove and coriander, a hint of white pepper there too, some pear and green grape, bitter orange and juicy orange at the same time, and finally a white sugar element that hangs on. its flavorful beer, in decent proportion too, but to me if the yeast is going to be this robust i want it to be more unique, if its going to be this much of a known entity, they can scale it back a tad. overall though its drinkable because its bubbly and smooth and it has a summery vibe without being too light. a bit american for my style preference, but good.
