Got a nice haul from Chad on a work trip to Reno. Crazy as it sounded to me, I believe this would be my first beer from Slice. I did have a collab with Pure Project before, but pretty sure this would be my first solo from them. Untappd description called this, “Nelson and Galaxy hops showcase bright flavors and aromas of pineapple sorbet, white peach, tangelo, grape skin, and orange pulp.” Was really looking forward to this one.
Poured a pale-to-gold hazy color with three fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class semi-layered foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled big orange creamsicle, orange blossom, pineapple, nectarine, peach skin, white grape, passionfruit and orange pulp. Nice mix of Galaxy and Nelson on the nose. Hops are even more pronounced from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste was about as good as the nose. In order got peach, nectarine, orange creamsicle, pineapple, Galaxy, grapefruit, passionfruit, bitter peach skin, white grape, Nelson, melon and orange pulp. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Juicy finish. (Feel - 4.00)
A really nice beer. Outstanding overall. (Overall - 4.00)
