10/20/22 Batch! Beautiful Nelson-dank, hint of citrus, and piney-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a super clean, hint of citrus, and piney hoppy bitter finish. This is so nice and clean upfront that the hops are allowed to shine here...a great use of Nelson in a single westie. This is fantastic!

Thanks, Chad!
Got a nice haul from Chad on a work trip to Reno, including my first Slice beers (save for a collab with Pure Project). Was described on Untappd as, “100% Nelson Sauvin hops from 3 different selected lots showcase exotic flavors and aromas of gooseberry, white grape, diesel dank, passion fruit, and cantaloupe.”
Poured a clear pale-to-golden color with three fingers of rocky white head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at a quick pace. World-class spiderweb foamy lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled the main notes of Nelson but wasn’t too overpowering. Got white grape, passion fruit, gooseberry, dank pine, resin, viney vegetable, herbal, wet grass, melon, cantaloupe and floral. Much better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted a little better than the can but still not quite as good as I hoped it would be. Got Nelson, dank resin, pine, peppery spice, white grape, viney gooseberry, passion fruit, vegetable, herbal, wet grass, melon, cantaloupe and earthy malt. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
An outstanding American IPA overall. Glad I got to try it. (Overall - 4.00)
