Mosaic, Simcoe, Ekuanot, and Apollo hops create scary intense flavors and aromas of sticky resin, papaya, clementine, pine sap, and grapefruit flesh.

Thanks, Chad!
Got a nice haul from Chad on a work trip to Reno, including my first Slice beers (save for a collab with Pure Project). Untappd described it as, “Mosaic, Simcoe, Ekuanot, and Apollo hops create scary intense flavors and aromas of sticky resin, papaya, clementine, pine sap, and grapefruit flesh.” Was pretty new to Apollo (grapefruit and citrus peel), but a fan of the rest.
Poured a clear pale color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Could see some slow-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent uneven lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled pine sap, Ekuanot, papaya, Simcoe, dank resin, herbal, garlic, black pepper, grapefruit rind, citrus peel, floral and light Mosaic. (Smell - 4.25)
First thought on the taste was that was a boozy 8.5 pct. Second thought was it was definitely a West Coast DIPA. Got Simcoe, Ekuanot, black pepper, sappy pine, dank resin, garlic, onion, cat piss, grapefruit rind, tangerine peel, herbal, papaya and Apollo (after looking at hop profile). Wasn’t getting much Mosaic. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just an excellent representation of a West Coast Double IPA. (Overall - 4.25)
