like some of their other beers, there may be multiple versions of this one. at the bar i had it at, it was listed at 6.2% abv, but the website says 6.0% currently. the bar also had it as a wet hop, where their website makes no mention of that, i think things are still evolving pretty fast over here, but this beer is fabulous, whichever edition i encountered or whichever info was correct, veraci pizza in kendall yards, spokane. clearish for a wet hop, if thats what it is, strong berry and lemongrass freshness to it, minimal malt profile, clean and dry on the ferment, simple beer really, but the hop pops. to say that 692 is experimental anymore is a stretch though, this one has been around for years, and surely will get a name by now, i think i said that years ago! how it hasnt yet is beyond me, its so distinct and good, seemingly stable in beer (wet hop in december?!), and deserves it by now. strong strawberries, tart mountain blueberries, lemongrass, meyer lemon, verbena, even dill. fermentation is clean, beer is tidy overall, simply built but quite complex and nuanced too, a testament to this hop, which continues to be awesome in whatever beer anyone wants to make with it. potentially a new mosaic or nelson or sorachi ace, like, you could dry hop pee with it and itd be aromatically delicious. this is yummy, a highlight from hidden mother so far!
