their house ipa, just what i wanted it to be. one of their best hoppy beers to date, simple, fresh as can be, classically styled but not too malty, quintessentially northwestern in terms of the hops, and overall a delicious drinker, a nice change of pace from the haze craze, and definitely a pint beer, delicious with some greasy lunch food on a substantial hangover, this really reversed my fortunes in a good way. its honey colored darker than golden but nowhere near copper or anything, holds an inch of white head from the tap and smells like cut pine and white grapefruit juice from a diner, lush and woodsy, slightly citric, oily, and the flavor is the same as the nose, has to be come centennial and/or simcoe in here, not sure what else, its not overly bitter or intense at the end, but the hops are pretty bold. the grain side of this is light in flavor but has just a little sweetness for balance and body for support, proportions seem on point to me here and the fermentation is cleaner than in some of their other brews, so this is a real drinker. familiar but also subtly unique, and on the whole a very versatile and wide appeal ipa that is instantly relevant here locally. nicely done.
