From a can (from the brewery, consumed only a few days after purchase) into a Halfway Crooks mug.
A: Pours up a golden yellow with a quickly receding, pillowy, frothy, four-finger head
S: Notes of clean grain and subtle hints of citrus emerge first, though the citrus gets more prominent.
T: Immediate lemon and citrus with a crisp almost, toasty finish accompanied by a pleasant bitterness.
M: Medium body with a silky mouthfeel.
O: This is not one of HC’s more outstanding offerings. It’s fine. If it were at any other brewery it would be very good, but it stands as one of their less exciting beers. A slightly hazy, Belgian Pale Ale adjacent lager. Not bad, but pretty forgettable. I love almost everything Halfway Crooks puts out, so to me, this was a disappointing beer.
