Crisp, clean and crushable describes this craft brewed Mexican lager. A malt bill containing flaked corn and vienna malt creates the body and aroma of a classic Mexican Lager, while the slight addition of hops and Mexican lager yeast add a natural perceived lime aroma. This beer is truly El rey de la colina (The king of the hill)

Unexpectedly good. Picked up by accident as the single can was misplaced on the retail shelf and I paid insufficient attention to what I grabbed. Clear, light yellow color topped by an enormous white head of relatively light density but receded to a 1/16-1/8 inch layer that was pretty persistent. No lacing to speak of. Not sure I got the claimed lime influence, but the sweet corn was definitely there in smell and taste. A nice balance of the malt and just a hint of hops. Overall, one worth seeking if you want a Mexican lager.

This is a great mexican lager. Came in a 6 pack of 12 oz cans. Honestly, I dont get that. I wish they would put imperial stouts and other heavier beers in these. But a mexican lager should come in a six pack of pints. Unless these are literally designed for shotgunning...
Great can art though. Poured half of the can into a pint glass, squeezed half a key lime in and poured the rest. That's the right way to drink a mexican lager, in my opinion. The bubbles got very big when I added the lime. It killed the head pretty quickly, but it was a beautiful death. It wouldn't have lasted long anyway...
Aromas of grain, cereal (fruity pebbles), lime, red pear and raw cashew. Ok, I might be reaching a touch on that last one, but there is a subtle nutty malty note.
On the palate it tastes like a lightly fruity biscuit. It definitely has some pear notes, specifically. Especially noticeable without the lime. It needs the lime though. The bitterness is very welcome. It has like twice as much bite after you add the lime. And without it, it almost tastes like a corn and barley cake.
Mouthfeel is very crisp, even without the lime, but with the lime, it's literally the most refreshing bite I've ever had in a drink.
Literally it's like a pilsner and a Perrier and Lime had a perfec baby. ¡Salud!
