Collaboration with Wild East Brewing Co.
Who do ya call when you want to build a table beer? Only the masters from Wild East of course. We teamed up on this Spelt Table Beer, and to make it our own we hopped it exclusively with South African Southern Passion. Delicate and tiny, share with your friends while summer is still here!

Pours a clear golden straw color. A moderate head quickly dissipates.
The aroma is interesting. It opens with notes of biscuity and honey malts. Then, it becomes vinous and tart with notes of lemon, sour grapes, dry apple cider, as well as rustic notes of oak.
The taste is less complex than the aroma, as a mostly dry palate is accompanied by a light tartness. Crisp cracker and clean bready malts lend some flavor, however, the taste is mostly comprised of notes of tart lemon and green apples. Light notes of floral and grassy hops. The finish is very dry.
Light bodied and thin. Although it opens watery, it gains some character further in. The mouthfeel is crisp with a carbonation that has a champagne like effervescent.
I guess the whole point of table beer is for it to be a light drinking experience. I didn’t mind the low ABV, however, I feel there could have been a bit more malt fullness and for the flavors to align better with the strong aroma.

A: The beer is relatively clear light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finer high bright white head that died down, leaving lacing on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of lemony hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has notes of lemony hops along with hints of grassy hops.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and has some refreshing properties.
