Still in code, pulled this one out from the back of the beer fridge. Poured into a clay steinkrug, which seemed appropriate. Good amount of tan foam, fades to an unbroken skim. Dark mahogany color as it's poured.
Aroma is full of caramelized dark sugars and roasty from the chicory root, actually it's fairly interesting.
Taste is lightly tart and sweet with a light chicory roastiness, becoming a little bland and minerally towards the end. Feel is a little thin and watery, though there was ample carbonation to begin with.
Overall it's flawed, but the unique chicory character is not bad. Sort of like a stout flavored soda.
