Our take on a Schwarzbier. A dark German lager with a light mouthfeel, low bitterness and clean lager characteristics. Roasty and smooth. Who drinks Schwart Shorts? You drink Schwart Shorts!!

Purchased at the taproom in a crowler can. Label has stamped best by date of 'FEB 16 2023'. ABV% is marked as 5.2%.
Ruby brown colored body. Multi finger tan head upon first pour, which settles to a creamy thin finger cap. Leaves behind webs of lacing.
Aroma is sweet roasted malts, with notes of caramel and chocolate.
Taste is roasted malts, with slight char and coffee, milk chocolate and caramel. Slight wave partway through of dark cherry. The sweeter malt notes linger in the aftertaste. Very low bitterness.
Medium plus mouthfeel. Creamy, smooth, and clean. Crisp and dry finish. Very good carbonation.
Very tasty dark lager, with good balance as to how the malts present with nose and flavors.

Look, Black and light bodied, aromas of roasted malts and slight coffee. Mouthfeel was medium carbonation and the flavor highlighted what was already in the aroma, roasted malt with a dry aftertaste, very balanced and the third of five offerings from this brewing that was very easy to drink and a perfect 5 for style in my opinion. I wish more breweries made black lagers!
