Opening the caged 750 ml bottle with a POP of the cork, a rush of foam in the Blanche de Chambly goblet. Settles down but each pour gives you a tall froth on the clear amber brew. Lovely aroma of fruit and cereal, a whiff of the brewery. Some bitterness along with the grainy taste. Some fruitiness, pear and dried lime peel.
A touch of malty sweetness to start. A bit scratchy and yeasty, plus the inevitable Belgian drying finish. Very sippable and highly flavorful. Brewed with a variety of Skagit Valley malts plus Mount Hood hops. Purchased at Garden Path by the Skagit County airport.
