Lighter golden bodied, two finger white head. Hmm.. drinkable, but really nothing special. A bit heavy handed compared to classic Belgian wits in terms of malt and spice. Good carb and body otherwise. I would just go with Allagash White if presented with the two options.

a kveik yeast wit, and its fine beer from a technical standpoint, but for me its a recipe misstep. this yeast doesnt work here, at least at this pitch rate and temperature, its estery sure, but its soapy and approaching phenolic too, and it sort of cheapens what is otherwise solid. i like all the coriander in nose and taste, and think the yeast is a little sympathetic there. the wheat is raw to me, fluffy and frothy feeling, drinks like a cloud with the nice carbonation too, its on its way to being great, even if its a little thicker and denser than the best example of the style. the yeast with everything else going on makes it smell a little like industrial floor cleaner, some lemon and other sweet citrus, but this is out of place, like cheap saison almost, it just doesnt work the way more classic wit yeast would, and with the rest of the beer being nice, its a shame they took this chance. i guess you have to take risks to stand out and evolve, but this was my least favorite beer i had from these guys this week because of the fermentation profile. i drank it, but the last few sips were a bit of a chore. id be harsher on it in terms of score here, but the rest of the wit is right on. had way higher hopes for this.
