Dark brown, almost black, and opaque with a small tan head. Smooth roasted malt aroma, some chocolate and coffee mixed it. Light earthy hops. Flavor is smooth as well, with the a nice earthy/roasty combination going on. Medium-full bodied and just the right amount of carbonation.
The best beer of the night that I had at Village Brewing.
