This I have to say was one well-made German pilsner! The only thing I found against it is that once you started drinking it and the hop bitterness built up, a slight wateriness crept in. As I think about it, I got to say that it is because of the relatively low ABV, but I might be wrong.
Now this was a nice beer review, could have been written by Michael Kelso.
What would back up my rating? That it was altogether a pleasant pilsner, a PP. I might even say that German beer is slightly better than Austrian…

Yellow in color with a light haziness. There’s a three quarter inch densely packed off white head. The aroma is of faint herbal hops. I’m tasting faint herbal hops and a light skunkiness. The mouth is very light and easygoing.

Picked up as part of the Costco Advent pack on 10-9-21 for $59.99. Best by 2023/05; consumed 2-28-22.
Beer poured a clear golden with a very nice white head.
Nose is fresh crackers and bread with a touch of grassy hops.
Taste is light crackers and bread malt base that is bittered and balanced nicely by a light lemongrass hop that has some good bittering effect; 6/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and refreshing.
Overall a really nice pilsner, glad to have tried!

A: Pours a relatively clear straw yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate bright yellow + pale yellow + very pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall sudsy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of bready + cracker + grainy malts with a light to moderate amount of grainy sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of grassy + herbal + spicy hops. Light aromas of lager yeast.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of bready + cracker + grainy malts with a light to moderate amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of lager yeast. Finally there are light to moderate flavors of grassy + herbal + spicy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which lingers for a moderate amount of time.
M: Slightly heavier than light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp with a moderate amount of dryness.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly crisp + dry mouthfeel. Enjoyable but a little more restrained than some of the other German Pilsner offerings available - pleasant noble hop profile.

Look - 10th beer of the 2021 Costco Advent Calendar. Poured into a pint glass. Straw yellow in color, clear, with a large head that mostly dissipates, leaving behind moderate lacing.
Smell - a little metal, light malts, straw, and a little bit of sweetness.
Taste - moderate malts supported by a healthy dose of hops. finish is slightly bitter with a hint of fruits (apples and white grape)
Feel - light bodied, average carbonation, and on the lower end of the ABV spectrum at 4.8%
Overall - a moderately hoppy German pilsner with a clean finish. nothing to write home about, but easy drinking.

Traditional clear, straw-colored look with thinly veiled head. Nice medium nose. Well-balanced beer with a decent amount of bitter hop finish than most German pilsners. Good beer.

Looks nice and clear, smell is complex and has the right notes for a pilsner. Taste doesn't live up to the smell. Slightly above average. Prost!
