Münich Lager
Foxtown Brewing
Appearance: deep copper to brown ..
. SRM is in the neighborhood of a 23
Flavor: Munich malt aparent sweetness caramel and nut... Chocolate Note
Turns to semi sweet chocolate chips...
Noble hops not grassy not Hallertau... Not sure of the hop profile ... It's Subtle... But stops ... Rather complex but still clean....
Taste :Deep malt... Well done... Just a hint of citrus maybe orange...
Overall:I mean this looks good. tastes good smells good.. Just really balanced. I wonder if there's some crystal malt 40 or if they're using a decoction mash technique with that Munich malt... In any case there's some noticeable enhancement In the malt... Layering a subtle sweetness... And not at all grainy
Mouthfeel:
Body is medium to full... Carbonation is a little bit on the low side but appropriate for style...
Overall:
A very clean malt finish.. bitterness is subtle but present.. I keep coming back to that sweetness not cloying at all.. refreshing but... A lingering malt maybe toffee note suggested with that initial chocolate. It's worth additional contemplation
