this place is awesome, the production brewery location for burial, they still brew downtown too apparently, but this is where the scale is done, where things are packaged, where all the funky and barrel aged beer is done too, super cool space, an old camp for loggers from the 1930s or something, several buildings on site, a gorgeous restaurant space, several production buildings, some different covered outside seating areas, was awesome to do the tour, have some brunch, and spend some time here, burial remains a favorite of mine, and this was a highlight from our asheville trip for sure. the main bar space is so cool, its sort of barn vibes, old sawmill or something, upscale beer hall feeling downstairs, really sick lounge loft area with more intimate seating, such a neat space, unique decor that fits their vibe, a little private event area up there, lots of windows, open wooden structure, way cool. they have a rooftop patio but it was pouring when we were there. the bar area is along the back wall next to the partially open kitchen, they have no table service and the bar line was very long the whole time we were there, it moved well enough i guess, funnels folks through a corridor of beer to go and all their cool merch, busy but somewhat efficient. full bar, nice beer selection, always something cool to drink at burial, loved my other half collaboration imperial hazy ipa as well as the lightgrinder porter this time. i didnt know they made wine here but they do, visuals is the name of the label, and we had a lovely glass of natural type sauvignon blanc, such a cool project! the food is heady here, brunch on the weekends, i had world class shrimp and grits, everyone in our group had a baller meal, great menu and nice homemade execution, good coffee they roast themselves, tasty hopwater as well with a sick label on it, everything so thoughtful here! what a great place to spend a rainy day, good vibes, they have really built a cool culture here, and it was fun to check this location out at a leisurely pace. tour was cool, fairly modest operation for how much they have done with it. im in love with burial!
