473 mL can from the LCBO; coded I1624 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a hazy, translucent pale golden-yellow colour, boasting nearly two fingers of dense, foamy white head that lingers for more than five minutes. By that point, it has been reduced to a lumpy cap and a generous collar of soapy suds, with a half-inch, even coat of lace left clinging to the glass. Peach, grapefruit and pineapple on the nose, with added hints of passion fruit, lime zest and orange peel; some woodsy, piney hops are also discernible, with just a touch of ethanol.
A delicious imperial IPA that flawlessly integrates its 8.5%. Peach and nectarine dominate, but flavours of grapefruit, pineapple, mango, orange and melon are also difficult to miss. Finishes with some pithy bitterness and woodsy, piney, slightly minty/herbal hops before regressing back to stone fruit, citrus and pineapple; these fruits dwindle into a mildly warming, sweet-ish aftertaste that lasts for a few seconds. Full-bodied, with low carbonation and a soft, frothy, fulfilling mouthfeel that goes down easy. Unbelievably easy to knock back, but take care: or else you might find that *you're* the one getting slammed down onto the ice.
Final Grade: 4.22, an impressive A-. Willibald's Full Tilt is a very good DIPA that I can't wait to try again. Its low bitterness and restrained booze, together with big flavours of stone fruit and citrus, make for a dangerously drinkable double that leaves me with nothing to complain about. That's extra impressive, because I know for a fact that this can is not very fresh - and I can't even blame the LCBO this time, it's 100% my fault for ignoring the back of my bar fridge for so long. I will update this review as soon as I can find a fresh sample - and in the meantime, I encourage all Ontario BAs to seek this out and try it for themselves.

473 ml LCBO can. Served cold into a tulip. Codes as L2524.
Appearance - Very hazy pale golden straw colored beer with two fingers of head initially, quickly receding to a small frothy collar within a minute or two. Sparse curtain lacing left in the glass.
Smell - Huge tropical punch with nectarines, a pinch of overripe mangoes and a gaggle of other citrus aromas. Definitely leaning on the sweet and juicy side.
Taste - Quite sweet, again fruity with nectarines and a pinch of mangoes. Booze is present but well blended in. Extremely fresh tasting.
Mouthfeel - Medium full bodied with soft carbonation, pretty juicy with just a pinch of hop oil heat to close out.
Overall - An excellent DIPA that tastes fresh and is super juicy and ripe with the nectaron hops standing out in particular.
