Thanks to Victory_Sabre1973 for this one.
Pours a red-tinged golden swirl that begins a tad cloudy. But then it clears up and looks lovely.
Nose pumps orange, grapefruit, and finally an orange cream pop smell. Eventually a slight rhubarb note peeks in. But this really smells lovely.
Taste begins much the same. Orange, juicy (not pithy) grapefruit, blood orange. A slight vanilla-tinged rhubarb/strawberry flavor that goes in a tart direction. I like a good strawberry rhubarb pie, so this was pretty spot on for me.
Mouthfeel is on the light side of medium, carbonation is mild but sticks around, and the finish is slightly slick and tart.
Overall, I really like this unique take on a sour. Like I stated it begins more in the citrus wheel house but it does come around to rhubarb.

My first impression as this poured was "this is one ugly beer", but then once it settled into the glass, it's actually a nice deep amber color with a persistent ring of carbonation around the edge of the glass. Aroma is all rhubarb, or what I assume is rhubarb (my experience with rhubarb being restricted to, well, beer). Taste is all rhubarb. Takes a few sips to get used to, but once the palate adjusts, it's quite tasty. Nice little bit of funk on the back end. Interesting beer.

Pours a nice golden color, with a hint of red in it. There's a 1 1/2 finger off white head. It's got good retention, but no lacing on the glass.
The aroma is a very nice and strong rhubarb aroma. Very pleasing.
Taste - full on rhubarb. It starts out slightly sweet, then it turns into a very pleasing sour.
Crisp and clean feeling. The tartness lingers in my throat.
Solid sour from Outstate.
